Eligibility
Legal Aid of Nebraska serves people with limited resources. When you apply for services, you will be asked about your household income and assets, citizenship, and your legal issue to determine if you qualify for services under one of our many projects and programs.

Legal Aid of Nebraska does not assist with the following types of cases:
- Criminal defense
- However, Legal Aid’s Clean Slate Project focuses on helping people get dismissed criminal charges sealed, and convictions set aside or pardoned to help address barriers caused by having a criminal record. The project has a particular focus on helping young adults who have juvenile court records get those records sealed where possible.
- Board of Mental Health inquiries
- Immigration
- Medical malpractice
- Personal injury
- Workers' compensation
